Testimonials from the 2016 Summer Policy Institute

“So glad to hear that SPI will be on WVU’s campus next summer! This summer it was a great experience to not only network with students from so many walks of life but key stakeholders as well. As a newbie to policy, I found myself exposed to a variety of careers and pathways I hadn’t even imagined and hope to learn more in the years to come. The inaugural program was a great learning opportunity and I can only imagine with your hard work and dedication it will be even better in years to come. Keep up the good work!” ~Cory Breithoff

“SPI was very special for me. It fed my interest in policy, and has structured my path as a social worker.” ~ Megan Veyon

“Educational AND fun. A great time for any aspiring future leaders. I plan to attend every year if possible.” ~ Mark Schoolcraft II

“The Summer Policy Institute gave me guidance in a way that has allowed me to take the ideas in my head and start to formulate a plan through which I could make a difference in policy decisions. The SPI also brings in some of the best leaders in various fields who really care about WV and were as enthusiastic about networking with myself as I was with them.” ~ Saul Harlow
